Shannen Doherty shared some positive news which is no less than a miracle for her amidst her battle with stage 4 cancer.
The Miracle
She is feeling extremely positive about her latest health update about a new infusion treatment plan that she has been treated with, showing positive results.
On her Jan 28 episode of the podcast Let’s Be Informative, she shared the details with her radiation oncologist Dr. Amin Mirhadi.
She explained that she could not see any difference even after four treatments and everyone told her to drop the idea off. She kept on with the treatment and after the sixth, and seventh treatments, her blood-brain barrier started breaking down.
She was hopeful during the whole process, and she got what she wanted. It was no less than a miracle for her.
The Cancer
She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and the cancer had subsided through chemotherapy after two years but later in 2019, she shared that the cancer returned, and she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. In June, she shared that the cancer started from her brain and by November it had spread to her bones.
The 52-year-old, The Charmed actress did not specify about the cancer treatment she was going through but now she was staying positive after seeing the change.
She even called it God’s plan to let her see the good side of the illness she had for a long time now. “Sometimes you’re looking for miracles in all the wrong places and they’re right there in front of your face.” She told her oncologist.
She has kept a positive attitude despite battling cancer and her health issues over the years.
2023: A Tough Year
After wrapping up her 2023 in her December episode, she said it was the hardest year for her as she underwent brain surgery just after she found out that her estranged husband Kurt Iswarienko has had an alleged affair for a long time.
Despite all the health struggles and personal struggles with lots of heartbreak and fear experienced, she felt she was starting to live the happiest version of herself after the treatment’s result.
She told People in an interview last year that death did not scare her much, but she just didn’t want to die as she had so many things to experience yet, “My greatest memory is yet to come,” she said.
Back in 2021, Doherty told her fans that she was “fighting to stay alive.” Finally, after years of battling constantly, she finally believed that there was hope.
