This neighborhood park is a bustling outdoor hub with amenities like a basketball court, sports field, and playground. Despite heavy use and mosquito presence, it offers ample shade, seating, and an apple tree. 

Pokémon Go enthusiasts will appreciate two Poké Stops, although bathrooms are currently unavailable. 

Nonetheless, it’s a secure and beloved spot for families to bond, offering various activities and pet-friendly areas in a serene green space.

3. Zion Park

Welcome to the tranquil Green Grass Field Bowery, a serene spot for unwinding or family gatherings. 

With picnic tables and wheelchair access, it’s perfect for a peaceful escape. While lacking public facilities, its rustic charm and nearby climbing paths leading to scenic pools make it ideal for picnics and outdoor activities. 

Located near an LDS church, it’s advisable to inquire before hosting events. Despite this, its spaciousness and sunny ambiance make it a sought-after destination for relaxation and recreation.

4. Horsley Park

This charming park, a local favorite near Brigham City’s main street, features a well-kept playground with swings and monkey bars for kids’ enjoyment. 

Relax on comfortable benches and enjoy picnics in peaceful areas. Despite occasional bathroom closures and limited space, the park’s greenery and proximity to dining options draw many families and pets. 

Visitors are reminded to help keep the park clean by cleaning up after themselves.

5. Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge

Near Brigham City, this destination promises an exciting nature experience. Despite the Visitor Center’s closure, we missed educational insights but still enjoyed bird-watching on our walk. 

The 12-mile drive unexpectedly enriched our journey with wildlife sightings and amenities like a lookout tower. 

Despite rough terrain and bugs, we glimpsed the local bird population. Bring binoculars for a closer look. Willard Peak Campground offers diverse species and stunning winter scenery on its loop drive.
