Hands-On Learning: Dive into Crime Investigation at FBI Richmond Field Office
FBI Richmond has opened its doors to Virginia high schoolers inviting them to apply for a coveted spot in its competitive Teen Academy. This unique program offers students a firsthand glimpse into the world of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) careers and investigative programs providing invaluable insights into how crimes are investigated and strategies for maintaining community safety. According to 12 On Your Side, selected participants will have the opportunity to interact with executives, special agents, and analysts, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the FBI’s mission and operations. Throughout the Teen Academy, students will search into critical topics such as counterintelligence, counterterrorism, and gang activities. Engaging in hands-on activities alongside the Evidence Response Team and bomb technicians participants will acquire practical skills and knowledge essential for combating modern-day threats. The free one-day program is scheduled to take place at the FBI Richmond field office on June 25, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. offering an immersive and educational experience for aspiring young minds.
