It is not only this tax season that Americans will receive extra cash through tax refunds, but there are other programs that they can avail to get extra cash. The School District of Philadelphia has launched a program that will offer $3,000 cash for one year.
In a published article in The U.S. Sun, parents need to send their child on the District bus, van, or cab assignments and drive them to and from school. Meanwhile, parents who cannot pick up their kids from school can still get extra cash.
Eligibility for $3,000 Cash
The application for the program has already ended but they can still avail for the program. The reliability will vary by school and student. Here are the eligibility requirements:
- The student must be a Philadelphia resident
- Students must reside 1.5 miles or greater from the school
- Grades 1st through 5th but grade level eligibility will vary
- Designated schools have eligible students whose route to school is determined to be hazardous by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
- Students must have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) specific to transportation
- Your school must receive District-provided busing services
Furthermore, families who use the school selection option, are generally not eligible for busing services.
