The ALASKA PERMANENT FUND ACT was created in 1976 to handle the state’s oil receipts through the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation and give them to the people.
The PFD directs a portion of natural resource revenues intended to guarantee that the benefits derived from the state’s oil and gas income are divided directly among the citizens.
The stimulus program will inject $5.48 billion into the economy by giving eligible residents $1,312 to spend or invest. The allocation from the 2024 pool will go up to one thousand, seven hundred and two US dollars or about six hundred thousand, five hundred people.
On the PFD website, they say that “2024 (and prior year) dividend applications that are in ‘Eligible-Not Paid’ status on December 11, 2024, will be distributed on December 19, 2024, whereas 2025 dividend applications that are in ‘Eligible-Not Paid’ status on January 8, 202,5 will be distributed on January 16, 2025”.

The first of them concerns the applicant’s registration as a resident of Alaska, his or her stay in the state for at least the past twelve months, and his or her intention not to leave the state in the near future.
Moreover, the beneficiary did not have to apply for residency in another state or nation, and the beneficiary must not have received any benefit as a result of such procedure.
The other conditions are that of having had a minimum of 72 hours within the state of Alaska over the proceeding 24 months or time period and these persons cannot have been imprisoned within the last twelve months for a felony offense or within twelve months of any misdemeanor that occurred after January of 1997 if the person had been convicted beforehand for any felony or two prior misdemeanor offenses.
The application for the PFD is given annually from the 1st of January and until the 31st of March either through doing the application manually or online. Each category, including children of the family, must apply for a visa separately.
