WASPI Ombudsman Payment Dates 2024 – Who Is Eligible For WASPI Compensation?

WASPI Ombudsman Payment Dates 2024 - Who Is Eligible For WASPI Compensation?

Previously, the UK Government did not change the state pension age without adequately notifying women. The abrupt pension age transition disrupted the retirement plans of various women who were born in 1950. This resulted in significant emotional and financial distress among women. The compensation for these women was advocated by the WASPI campaign.

The WASPI Ombudsman Payment was expected to be granted during the summer break in July 2024.  In addition, the UK  General Elections are on board, which might affect the dates of the WASPI Ombudsman Payment. The WASPI represents around 3.8 million women who were born between 1950 and 1960.
